A small competition asked for cosmetic redressing of a prime New York City intersection of transportation, commerce and city expansion-- the chaotic Queens 'Plaza'. With an added emphasis on neighborhood, we expanded the competition boundary to include the greater infrastructure, public space, urban landmarks and new community required in the modern city before adding flower pots.
