McGarrahan & Heard Law Offices

When, due to time and circumstance, construction overtakes the fast-track, field architecture becomes the order of the day. 'Potato jobs' have their headaches and highlights. (It is said Brunelleschi instructed masons by carving his lunch potato.)

Part of this Rockefeller Center office was lightly refitted with carpet, paint, power and some new secretarial stations, while more substantial work took place in the entry and conference areas including a new connecting hall.

Consistent oak-trimmed shelving, work stations, and details link the two phases. Original Rock Center details of hardware, glass doors, high office ceilings, and pendant light fixtures were retained or matched wherever possible.
