D&A Apartment

New York City
1987

Designed to take advantage of the newly available through-floor vistas, a living, dining and foyer area stretches the east west width of this apartment formed by the joining of two units.

The apartment is lined with 400 linear feet of bookshelves and numerous built-ins. A fabric of books, cherry wood, and colonial stains stretches throughout the space. Finally a set of 'art' gates in steel and colored glass echo (in synopsis form) the 50's metal sash and general rhythm of new construction.
