This furniture installation and modest renovation hinges on a pen and nail pattern that reflects the respective professions of wife and husband.

New walnut sliding doors enclose the remodeled study/office with the pattern etched in glass. An abstracted pen/nail leg supports new desks and a table. The table unfolds lengthwise from a long side table with outrigger legs to full size dining with legs inboard.

The pen/nail legs peek out through square holes cut into  the tabletop, providing a subtle reminded of what supports dinner.
