Webber Bed and Bath

Metaphorically, this bedroom is a pillared pavillion of cool grey set in a field of rich green wool and marble. The blank niches vibrate between readings of infinite space (Michelangelo's exhortation to his pupils to see mythic scenes in the bare walls) and solid plane.

Mothered by the traffic demands of the up-to-date bedroom suite, the many niches order an otherwise dislocated set of doors. The furniture further reflects the room organization of niche and transom. Deep veined marble and cherry provide organic stimulation to the symmetric tranquility. Finally, an umbilical hallway leads to other areas and the bathroom is simply coded in the same marble.

Suite dreams.
