Houses by the sea demand powerful images to compete with the naked elements. Fortified with rusticated entry and inflated scale, this reborn Cape Cod house pays homage to Poseidon and Zeus with wavy rails and lightning rooves. The careful juxtaposition of inside and out, horizontal and vertical, and curvilinear and rectilinear encourages light-hearted hubris in the face of nature.
